Thank you to everyone who came out to the caucus yesterday, whether you were a volunteer or a voter. Nearly 2,500 people came out to our six locations in District 14.
Donald Trump won all six locations, with percentages ranging from 75.5% at Seven Oaks Elementary to 95.5% at Sweet-Montour. Overall, LD14 gave 85% of votes to Trump, 12.8% to Nikki Haley, 1.5% to Ron DeSantis, and the rest split between Vivek Ramaswamy, Chris Christie, and Ryan Binkley.
This closely matches the breakdown for the rest of the state. Click here to see the final results.
With this victory, Donald Trump adds Idaho’s 32 delegates to his total as we near the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Click here to read the Idaho GOP’s statement regarding the results.
Thank you again to all the volunteers who made the caucus possible. It was great to see so many engaged Republican voters coming together to help select our next president.
Our next district meeting is at the American Legion / VFW Hall in Emmett on Thursday, March 14, at 7pm. In the meantime, the filing period for the primary election begins this Monday and ends on Friday, March 15. If you are interested in running for precinct committeeman, you will need to submit your paperwork to your county clerk during that window. Email the secretary with any questions.
The future belongs to those that show up, and it was exciting to see so many people show up this weekend. Let’s get to the work keeping Idaho red!
Thank you for this report!
