Where to find your District 14 Republicans out and about this summer

What a busy couple of weeks! The primary election on May 21 resulted in 30 precinct committeemen duly elected to represent their communities in the Idaho Republican Party. They came together on May 30 for a reorganization meeting, at which time they elected new party officers:

• Chair: Brian Almon of Eagle

• Vice Chair: Jeff Russell of Eagle

• Secretary: Forrest Tomlin of Emmett

• Treasurer: Toni Holmberg of Emmett

We thank Steven Thayn for two years of steady leadership and hope to continue his work in bringing Republicans together!

The committee also selected three delegates and three alternates to represent District 14 at the Idaho State GOP Convention in Coeur d’Alene last week.

At the convention, the Idaho Republican Party updated its platform, passed a series of resolutions, and elected a new slate of officers to shepherd us through the next two years:

• Chair: Dorothy Moon

• 1st Vice Chair: Mark Fuller

• 2nd Vice Chair: Viki Purdy

• Treasurer: Steve Bender

• Secretary: Maria Nate

• National Committeeman: Bryan Smith

• National Committeewoman: Vicki Keen

Summer officially started last weekend with the Emmett Cherry Festival. Our own Rep. Ted Hill had the honor of leading the parade, trading his usual vehicle for one a bit more down to earth:

District 14 Republicans will be represented at many more events throughout the summer:

• July 13: Eagle Fun Days

• July 31-August 3: Gem County Fair

• August 16-25: Western Idaho Fair

• August 27: Gem County Shrimp Boil (Sponsored by the Gem County GOP)

We will also be hosting town hall events with your Republican legislators and training classes as well. Stay tuned for more information!
